How long have you been in business?
Briarville opened in January 2013 as the repair and restoration division of the world renowned Joe Case Pipes.
What is your primary product or service?
We serve the tobacco pipe hobbyist and enthusiasts with their repairs and restorations. Our customers include pipe clubs, pipe and tobacco shops and individual collectors worldwide.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been an avid a collector for over 20 years and turned an advocation into a vocation.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Briarville allows our customers to use all the various forms of social media including email, YouTube and Skype to discus their project. Using available VOIP technology our customers can get a real-time consultation with their pipe/s in hand from anywhere in the world. No longer do repairs need to be taken to a tobacco shop to be sent off to a repairman. Briarville customers deal directly with the repair shop. In fact many tobacco shops are also Briarville customers. Our ease of contact and superior customer service try makes Briarville as Close as Your Mailbox!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have two shops located in Tennessee. One shop carves new pipes, the other handles the repairs and restorations. While there has been discussions to merge both shops into a single larger facility, there are no immediate plans to expand.
