Combining functional fitness exercises and their application to Aikido techniques, we bring a unique approach to martial arts training. Using resistance and balance exercises similar to the movements required in a given martial art technique, the student quickly develops the strength and balance needed to execute a joint lock or throw. An added benefit of this to Aikido training (which requires muscle relaxation as opposed to brute strength) is the resistance exercises tire the student and allows this basic principle to become more apparent.
We offer programs to accommodate each individual's needs and preferences. The benign nature of Aikido makes it appealing to men and women regardless of age. Packages are personalized to give each participant their own unique program. All sessions emphasize increased physical and mental discipline. Goshin Total Fitness and Aikido also offers in-home training. We can bring the benefits of this training to you. Equipment and mats are provided depending on available space.
