Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Since June of 2009.
What is your primary product or service?
I specialize in Modern and Organic Architecture highly influenced by the philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Growing up, I had always enjoyed art such as painting and sculpture. Being an architect was interesting to me because it was a profession that allowed me to continue to express my creativity.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My style of architecture works closely with nature. Site orientation and views are important. Each building is different and is a result of many differet variables. Buildings are designed from the inside out and their exterior apperance is derived from the function within. I am also different from other businesses in that I don't just cater to clients with huge budgets. Most of my projects are on tight fixed budgets. I feel that I excell in providing the most impact for the amount of money available.
Which areas do you service?
I am currently licensed in Tennessee and Kentucky, but am open to working anywhere in the country.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The majority of people are unaware of what architecture really is. People are used to seeing the same type of building or house get built over and over again and they grow to accept that as what a house or building should look like. When people step back from their preconceptions and recognize that there are alternatives, that is a great compliment to what I do.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own civilization. - Frank Lloyd Wright
