To educate Tennesseans about the history of the Holocaust, working to build a more humane society.
The Commission creates awareness of the Holocaust to fight prejudice and to encourage tolerance and understanding among all people. Our programs include: educator programs, customized classroom resources, loaned literature, educational outreach, trips to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in D.C.,trips to primary Holocaust sites in Europe,Belz-Lipman educator of the year award, adult workshops, speakers bureau, Annual Day of Remembrance commemorations, "Living On" multimedia exhibit, traveling exhibits. Please note there is no museum on site. The Gordon Jewish Community Center is home to the Nashville Holocaust Memorial it is located at 801 Percy Warner Blvd. Nashville, TN 37205
