This self-paced course taught via the Internet provides the nurse or health care worker with the basic skills utilized in interpretation of basic cardiac arrhythmias. It is a nine week course consisting of weekly lessons, reading assignments, quizzes with feedback, and access to the instructor via email.
Students will be able to complete the course at their own pace, with a maximum time limit of 9 weeks from the start of the course, to take the final exam. The course should take approximately 28 hours total class time.
This program has been approved by The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Certification Corporation for 28 Contact Hours of continuing education credit.
The objective of this course is to familiarize the nurse/health care worker with the key features of each arrhythmia along with the physiological consequences and signs and symptoms of each. In addition, management of each arrhythmia will be reviewed.
