Gordon Jewish Community Center
The Gordon Jewish Community Center is at the center of Jewish life in Nashville, providing recreational, educational, social and cultural programs and services to over 1,700 member families. It is a place where non-Jews are welcome to join, play and learn side by side with their Jewish neighbors. Its purpose has changed little in its one hundred years: to enrich lives and strengthen the community.
The Gordon Jewish Community Center has many faces. It is an organization, committed to enriching lives and enhancing Jewish identity. It is a place where non-Jews are welcome to play and learn beside their Jewish neighbors. It is a home away from home, where Jews of all affiliations and all members of the Nashville Community come together, united by a shared purpose. The most notable face, however, is the face of a member: listening to a significant lecture; perspiring after an intense workout; dripping after stepping out of the pool; smiling upon greeting a friend.
